The only reason I'm giving it more than one star is because it has a lot of excellent photographs, many of which I've never seen before. The preface notes that the case histories are examples of specific serial killer types, motivations, nationalities, and other characteristics, because the more than 1,500 serial killers on record renders comprehensive coverage of every case unfeasible.
