a b c Fuentes, Gladys (2019-04-08). "From Russia with Surf: Messer Chups Bringing Their Spooky Surf Sound to Houston". Houston Press . Retrieved 2021-03-18. Your child might be interested in thinking about similarities and differences with the more familiar version of Cinderella. The Prince is smitten with Cinderella but every night at midnight she runs away. On the third night she leaves a part of her on the steps, but will the Prince ever find the woman he has fallen in love with? In this retelling of Cinderella, Cinders falls down a flight of stairs (after slipping on some dog poo 💩) and becomes a Zombie Princess, but can she still enjoy the ball and woo the Prince?

Es un retelling de la cenicienta en versión más terrorífica pero desde un punto de vista infantil aunque igual no lo considero apto para niños xd Age 7-9 This illustrated verse novel is the perfect story for young readers seeking gruesome tales. The grey scale illustrations have just the right balance of gore and humour. A librarian discovers a dusty corner of the library with a selection of fairy tales which have gone ‘bad.’ When Cinderella slips and dies the shadow of death breathes life into her body. For three nights only she becomes Zombierella and is able to attend the prince’s balls travelling in a mushroom coach pulled by her skeletal steed Lumpkin, she seeks revenge on her fake sisters and mesmferises the vampire prince with her beauty. This is the first in a series of ‘fairy tales gone bad’ for those hungry for more. Watch a trailer and listen to a performance of part of the book Highly recommended to anyone of any age who enjoys a good retelling of a classic fairytale with an undead twist. The opening words of Zombierella tells you everything you need to know. ‘This gory story has bugs and bogeys, slimy surprises, and more than a spot of revenge. And, yes…I’m afraid dear sweet readers, that there is DEATH.’ If you have a child who isn’t into dark books featuring a Zombie, Vampire, dead animals, and Death then you might not want to let them read this book. However, if they love a bit of gore then this is the perfect book. The band was originally a duo of Gitarkin on bass guitar and Annette Schneider on synthesizer. During 2000–2002 Messer Chups consisted of Gitarkin and Igor Vdovin [ ru] on synths. [ citation needed]

This is a very surprising version of Cinderella! Share what you each found the most surprising bits, the scariest bits, the funniest bits and the best bits. In 2003, Oleg Tarasov, the producer of Messer Chups and head of their home label Solnze Records, invited the world famous theremin player Lydia Kavina to join them. Together they have released several albums and reworked their previous releases. In 2005, Messer Chups became a duo consisting of Gitarkin and Svetlana "Zombierella" Nagaeva on bass. In 2007, they became a trio, with drummer Denis "Kashchey" Kuptsov [ es] from the band Leningrad. In 2008, they changed their drummer to Alexander Belkok, and Alexander Skvortzov became their vocalist. Zombierella was longlisted for the UK Diverse Book Awards 2021, and with it being written by award-winning poet Joseph Coelho, and beautifully illustrated by Freya Hartas, I can absolutely understand why. I was unsure what I was going to make of the book as it opens with one of Cinderella’s pets who was old and infirm dying and her having to bury it. But then the book came alive. It was an exceptional read. Very funny and cleverly written keeping all the main parts of the original Cinderella and making them grim, put it this way it’s not her shoe that Cinderella leaves on the stairs for the Prince to find!!It's an MG novel in verse and I raced through it with total delight because it was so gleefully fun (even when it was, very intentionally, gross - this is the kind of book that some sensitive kids won't be able to handle while others will lap it all up with a spoon). It was hilarious, clever, and had a surprisingly sweet and satisfying ending. Does the book contain anything that teachers would wish to know about before recommending in class (strong language, sensitive topics etc.)?
